The Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is the busiest in the Dominican Republic and the second busiest in the Caribbean. Located on the east side of the country, it offers direct flights to 28 countries and 96 cities around the world, with more than 7.6 million international travellers per year.

Shuttle or taxi

The airport offers tourists many transportation options to get to their hotel in Punta Cana. Some of the most highly recommended options are the Shuttle service from the resort where you’re staying, or you can take a taxi from the airport upon your arrival. The taxi service usually costs between 30-35 USD for 4 people.

Car or bus

Some other transportation options from the Punta Cana Airport to the hotel are car rentals, transfers or the use of local buses.

You will also find the Duty Free areas to buy your last souvenirs in Punta Cana, as well as a large dining area that includes restaurants such as Wendy’s, Cinnabon or Segafredo. You can even get a drink in the Skybar before waving goodbye to the breeze and sun of the Dominican coast.
